About Robert Falk

Robert Falk - The Marketplace Insurance Broker

Hi! I am Robert Falk, a licensed insurance agent. I work independently for you with access to hundreds of insurance companies across the county. I am here to help you get the best health insurance coverage for your needs and/or budget.

I have spent most of my life in Washington State, until I relocated to Florida in 2020 with my wife and two sons. In my school years I was a multisport athlete and participated in DECA where I had the opportunity to compete at the international level. I enjoy working, helping other agents be successful, and guiding clients to a better situation with their health insurance. When I’m not working, I am usually spending time with my wife and sons, going on adventures and watching them grow.

Robert’s Health Insurance Philosophy

The core function of health insurance is to provide financial protection for unexpected health issues. We are all different with unique needs and wants, there is no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” health insurance policy. Health insurance laws should protect consumers and allow them to choose the plans they want without being restricted by politicians.

Healthcare and health insurance are two different things. Healthcare is the actual service you receive when going to a medical facility. Health insurance is a product that protects you financially against unexpected healthcare costs.

The roll of the insurance agent is to add value without increasing cost. As an agent, I have knowledge and experience that most people don’t have. Being an insurance agent is a unique profession because I can offer my expertise to increase the value of products my clients purchase, without those products costing more or charging any additional fees.

Q&A w/ Robert

What is your insurance experience?

I got my first insurance license in 2013 when I started a local home & auto insurance agency for a captive carrier. Early in 2017, I transitioned from being captive to being an independent agency and expanded the product lines to include health and Medicare. Later in 2017, my agency was bought/merged with a local competitor. After a little time off I joined the team at a large national health insurance brokerage where I was a top performing producer, mentored new insurance agents, and was part of their leadership program. In 2021, I decided to start my own agency again and step away from my corporate position at the large brokerage.

I have a total of 8 years experience in the insurance industry. All 8 of those years involved sales. 6 years involved training other agents. 4 years involved managing other agents. 4 years involved managing CSR’s. Since 2018, my sole focus has been only health insurance.

What States are you licensed in?

As of right now, I am licensed in all 50 states and have the ability help with some international health insurance policies. You can view my current licenses here.

Can I meet with you in person?

Believe it or not, it’s actually easier for me to help you over the phone. Companies generally don’t provide printed material anymore, its all electronic; including the applications. I can easily get the necessary information from you over the phone, explain my recommendations for you, and email you anything that you want to review. When it comes time for the application, I do most of it over the phone with you to make it easy; there might be an electronic signature that is needed but that will be emailed to you and I can walk you through it.

Where are you located?

I am physically located in Florida and licensed in all 50 States.

Are you better than a local broker in my town?

If a local broker has as much experience, knowledge, and access to carriers as I do; then we are probably comparable. I understand that it’s sometimes nice to work with a local agent, however; its important to work with an agent you can trust to be honest with you and provide the best options for you. Local agents and brokers will often only have access to a handful of insurance companies, I have access to hundreds across the country. I also have experience being the trusted advisor for low income and high income families, celebrities, professional athletes, royalty, executives, international travelers, business owners, and people who have complex health issues.
